The Project
What is Macimed
MACIMED,Alternative touristic Cycling Mobility through Mediterranean Islands.
It can be considered a TRANSnational project born in the area of the " Program of Community Initiative " ( P.I.C.) Interreg III B MEDOCC, financed by European Union and created thanks to the collaboration of the Provincia di Cagliari (headleader), the Provincia Regionale di Catania and the Govern de les Illes Balears.
Purposes
Having studied and examined the Project and the geographical aspect of the three islands, we have decided the essential purposes of MACIMED.
Analysis, Studies and Pilot Projects
Analysis and Studies
The first part of MACIMED's Project is methodological. It essentially concerns the analysis of the geographical areas, the definition of existing problems and the planning of their solution.
Pilot Projects
The next phase is STAGE B. It concerns of the most impotrant part of MACIMED Project because it is about the phase of testing and creating the Pilot Project.
